Our client is a €1.3bn+ main contractor delivering state-of-the-art data centres across Northern and Central Europe. Known for their turnkey delivery model—from design through to commissioning—they’re expanding fast (10–15% growth annually). They’re now building a €500m+ hyperscale facility in Amsterdam and need a Senior Mechanical Engineer to help deliver a major mechanical works package on-site. You’ll be right in the thick of the action, overseeing the full lifecycle of mechanical delivery, from technical procurement to final handover. You’ll liaise with clients, guide subcontractors, and ensure every aspect of the install is safe, on-spec, and on schedule. What You’ll Be Doing: What You’ll Bring: What’s in It for You:
• Act as a key liaison with the client team — clear, confident communication is essential.
• Coordinate with contractors across all disciplines to ensure seamless service integration.
• Prepare and review method statements and risk assessments for mechanical construction activities.
• Deliver mechanical systems in line with all project specs and safety criteria.
• Work closely with the project team to plan and sequence pipework installations to meet key deadlines.
• Manage the commercial handover from estimating, and lead on the technical procurement of equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Support change management — document and cost changes, and contribute to monthly valuations and final accounts.
• Keep a close eye on programme delivery, technical quality, and compliance standards.
• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience, ideally in a project delivery environment.
• Proven track record on large-scale builds — data centres a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems relevant to mission-critical environments.
• Great communicator with strong interpersonal and contractor coordination skills.
• A proactive, solutions-driven mindset — you're someone who spots issues early and resolves them fast.
• Be part of major data centre projects at the cutting edge of critical infrastructure.
• Work in a collaborative, supportive team with clear development paths.
• Long-term career progression across high-growth sectors.
• Competitive salary and benefits, including rotational work options where applicable.
