£95,000 – £110,000 annual salary Fully remote role with occasional travel to Europe
We are seeking a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of cleanroom projects across the pharmaceutical, biotech, and semiconductor industries.
This role is ideal for a commercially focused professional with deep expertise in mechanical and electrical systems within highly specialized, controlled environments. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while providing leadership and mentoring to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, including interim valuations and final accounts for M&E packages.
Oversee and manage construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT, ensuring compliance and smooth delivery.
Manage the procurement process for subcontractors, suppliers, and specialist M&E service providers.
Identify and assess risks, manage variations, and resolve claims effectively.
Work closely with clients, design teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
Prepare accurate monthly cost reports and provide commercial insights to senior management and stakeholders.
Support and guide junior quantity surveyors, fostering professional development within the team.
Requirements:
Strong expertise in M&E systems and construction practices for complex, controlled environments, such as cleanrooms.
Proven experience delivering projects within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or semiconductor sectors.
Excellent working knowledge of construction contracts (NEC and JCT).
Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in software such as CostX, Excel, and MS Project.
Exceptional stakeholder management and client care skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote role with travel across Europe as required.
