QA/QC Lead – Data Centre Project – London (Mech or Elec Bias)

£100,000 – £110,000 base salary + Full Package + Long-Term Pipeline | Permanent | Site-Based

A leading MEP contractor delivering mission-critical infrastructure across Europe is seeking a QA/QC Lead to join a major data centre project in London. Whether you’re mechanically or electrically biased, if you’ve led quality delivery on large-scale, fast-paced projects — this is a high-impact role with long-term career potential.

This is a key site-based role responsible for managing all aspects of QA/QC for MEP systems — from installation inspections through to test pack approval, handover documentation, and snag closure.

Interviews are being arranged now. Immediate start available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the QA/QC function on site, reporting to the Project Manager and QA Manager
  • Lead the preparation, review, and coordination of test packs, inspection checklists, and redline mark-ups
  • Coordinate with mechanical and electrical supervisors to ensure quality standards are met during install
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits of ongoing works — flag non-conformances and lead closures
  • Support commissioning teams with QA input and handover documentation
  • Manage and track quality KPIs, punch list completion, and document control processes
  • Chair quality meetings with subcontractors and internal teams
  • Drive continuous improvement in workmanship, documentation standards, and compliance
  • Interface with client QA/QC representatives and support third-party inspections

Candidate Requirements:

  • Mechanical or Electrical background (trade, HNC/D, or degree)
  • Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a QA/QC or Quality Lead role in MEP or mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of installation standards, inspection protocols, and handover requirements
  • Experience using QA systems and digital test pack platforms (e.g. BIM 360, Zutec, Field View)
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working on fast-track delivery sites
  • Experience with ISO standards, commissioning interface, and quality assurance for Tier III/IV builds is a plus

What’s on Offer:

  • £100,000 – £110,000 base salary (Permanent)
  • Full package (travel, pension, bonus)
  • Long-term role with a leading MEP contractor known for mission-critical delivery
  • Work on a high-value data centre project in the heart of London
  • Opportunity to step into Senior QA Manager or Regional Quality roles over time
  • Professional and supportive team with deep technical expertise
