Our client is a specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions on new-build data centre projects across Europe. Their scope includes civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works. With group turnover exceeding €1.5bn and a secured order book for the next three years, the business continues to scale across the European market.
The MEP Project Lead will take overall responsibility for the mechanical and electrical delivery on site, acting as the central point of coordination between design, construction, commissioning, and client teams. This is a key leadership role, ensuring the MEP works are delivered safely, on programme, and to exacting data centre standards.
• Lead the full MEP scope on a large-scale data centre development
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities across multiple packages
• Manage and interface with MEP subcontractors, consultants, and internal delivery teams
• Drive short-term planning, sequencing, and programme milestones
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality benchmarks, and commissioning requirements
• Oversee RFIs, technical queries, design coordination, and change management
• Track progress, productivity, and reporting against project targets
• Champion HSEQ standards and safe systems of work
• Support client engagement, testing, commissioning, and final handover
• Proven experience leading MEP delivery on data centre or other mission-critical projects
• Strong technical background in mechanical and/or electrical services
• Experience working with a main contractor or Tier 1 delivery environment
• In-depth understanding of commissioning, IST, and systems integration
• Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-specification project environment
• EU work rights or eligibility to work in Sweden
