A market-leading European contractor delivering large-scale, mission-critical projects across the continent is seeking an experienced MEP Manager to join a major data centre build in Sweden. With a strong pipeline of hyperscale projects, this role offers long-term career growth across some of the most complex technical builds in Europe.

This site-based role is ideal for a mechanically or electrically qualified professional with experience managing MEP services, subcontractors, and programme delivery on large-scale industrial or data centre projects.

As MEP Manager, you will provide full mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire (MEPF) support to the client’s construction management team, general contractor, and subcontractors. You will lead coordination, quality, safety, and programme performance across all MEP systems, ensuring smooth delivery from design review through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate MEPF contractors across all trades and systems
  • Review IFC design packages, change directives, and technical proposals for compliance and constructability
  • Track and monitor MEPF shop drawings, RFIs, technical submittals, and approvals
  • Oversee equipment delivery schedules, installation sequencing, and commissioning activities
  • Lead project planning sessions and align OFCI vendors with the overall programme
  • Monitor daily site progress, manpower, and resources to ensure programme milestones are achieved
  • Conduct site inspections to verify quality, compliance, and minimise rework
  • Support commissioning from Level 1–3 and interface with the client Cx team for Levels 4–5
  • Review variations, liaise with commercial teams, and support risk mitigation strategies
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld at all times and foster a culture of safe working practices
  • Provide leadership, technical guidance, and support to MEPF contractors throughout delivery and handover

Candidate Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar MEP role
  • Experience delivering data centres, pharma, cleanrooms, or other complex industrial projects
  • Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in reporting, documentation, and use of digital tools

Salary & Package:

  • Competitive salary (dependent on experience)
  • Benefits package including accommodation & travel support
  • Long-term career progression with a market leader in mission-critical construction
  • Opportunity to work on Europe’s largest and most technical data centre builds
