Our client is a specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions on new-build data centre projects across Europe. Their scope spans civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and full commissioning works. With group turnover in excess of €1.5bn and a strong pipeline secured for the next three years, they continue to expand their commissioning and delivery teams across Europe.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced MEP Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to join the project delivery team on a major hyperscale data centre development in Sweden.
• Support the planning and execution of MEP commissioning activities on a live data centre project
• Commission mechanical and/or electrical systems in line with project specifications and standards
• Coordinate commissioning activities with construction, design, and vendor teams
• Review commissioning procedures, test scripts, and method statements
• Witness factory and site acceptance testing (FAT / SAT) where required
• Support integrated systems testing (IST) and reliability trials
• Identify, manage, and close commissioning defects and snags
• Ensure accurate commissioning records, test results, and handover documentation
• Maintain strict adherence to HSEQ and quality standards throughout commissioning phases
• Background in mechanical or electrical building services
• Proven commissioning experience on data centre, pharmaceutical, or other mission-critical projects
• Strong understanding of HVAC, LV/HV, UPS, generators, BMS, or life safety systems (discipline dependent)
• Experience working within structured commissioning and handover processes
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
• EU work rights or eligibility to work in Sweden
