Mechanical Project Manager

Our client is a €2bn turnover, Tier:1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their European Data Centre team based on a hyper-scale data centre build in Odense, Denmark

Working with a renowned international main contractor, you will play a key role in the successful execution of complex mechanical, HVAC, and critical cooling systems on a fast-paced, high-value data centre development for a global technology client.
Key Responsibilities:
•   Lead all mechanical / HVAC aspects from coordination and installation through to commissioning and handover
•   Manage subcontractors, suppliers, logistics, and material deliveries to meet programme requirements
•   Oversee quality assurance, testing, and system integration for mechanical packages
•   Chair coordination and progress meetings with internal teams, client representatives, and specialist contractors
•   Ensure works comply with project specifications, client standards, and local Danish regulations
•   Proactively identify and resolve site issues, manage risks, and maintain strong communication across all stakeholders
•   Enforce a strong health & safety culture and drive performance on-site

Ideal Candidate Profile:
•   5+ years’ experience managing large-scale mechanical or HVAC installations, preferably on mission-critical or high-tech builds
•   Solid background in data centre, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, or large commercial/industrial MEP projects
•   Experience with Tier 1 main contractors or large MEP subcontractors
•   Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred)
•   Strong leadership, planning, and coordination skills
•   EU Passport or rights to work in Denmark
