We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Milan, Italy.
Oversee the full installation of mechanical services, including HVAC systems, chilled water networks, fuel systems, pumps, storage tanks and associated pipework. Ensure all works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved designs and project standards.
• Provide strong technical and design oversight.
Review mechanical drawings, specifications, equipment submittals and method statements. Identify gaps or clashes, raise technical queries where needed, and work closely with the design team to maintain accuracy and buildability throughout the project.
• Coordinate daily activities with mechanical subcontractors.
Manage on-site interfaces, track progress against programme, support sequencing of work, and address issues promptly to keep installation activities moving in line with project milestones.
• Maintain quality control across the mechanical packages.
Conduct regular inspections and walkdowns, ensure adherence to QA/QC processes, review test packs, validate workmanship, and drive corrective actions where required to uphold high standards expected on mission-critical builds.
• Support commissioning and project close-out.
Assist in planning and executing mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, including pressure testing and system verification. Ensure accurate as-built documentation, close out punch-lists, and contribute to a smooth and compliant handover.
Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
