Mechanical Construction Manager – Data Centre – Sines, Portugal

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector. 
We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Sines, Portugal.

Responsibilities

•    Mechanical Construction Delivery
Lead the on-site delivery of all mechanical works, including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, fire protection, and fuel systems, ensuring compliance with programme, quality standards, and client data centre requirements.
•    Subcontractor & Site Team Management
Manage mechanical subcontractors and site teams, coordinating resources, productivity, sequencing, and interfaces with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams.
•    Programme & Planning Control
Drive short-term and look-ahead mechanical programmes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures to achieve key milestones and phased data hall handovers.
•    Quality, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure mechanical works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, QA/QC procedures, Portuguese and European regulations, and HSE requirements, promoting a strong safety-first culture on site.
•    Testing, Commissioning & Handover Support
Oversee mechanical completion activities, supporting testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and client inspections through to final handover.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 7+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Portugal

Benefits

€90,000 - €100,000 + Full Rotational Package
