Mechanical Commissioning Engineer – Data Centre – Finland Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. We are currently constructing multiple Turnkey Data Centre Projects across Europe, equating to over 500 MW of IT load in flight. We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join our team. This position will be based on-site in Helsinki, Finland.
Develop, implement, and manage mechanical commissioning plans and procedures to ensure all systems are tested, validated, and handed over in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and client requirements.
• System Readiness and Testing
Oversee the pre-functional checks, start-up, and performance testing of mechanical systems, including chilled water, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers, and fuel oil systems, ensuring readiness for integrated testing.
• Coordination and Interface Management
Work closely with MEP, OFCI, and commissioning teams to coordinate mechanical activities and align with the overall commissioning sequence, milestones, and energisation schedule.
• Quality Assurance and Documentation
Review and verify test scripts, commissioning documentation, and method statements; record all test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions to ensure full traceability and compliance with QA/QC procedures.
• Issue Resolution and Performance Validation
Identify, track, and close out commissioning issues through the project commissioning tracking system; ensure all systems meet design intent and operational performance criteria prior to handover.
• Safety and Technical Leadership
Promote a strong safety culture during all commissioning activities, ensuring adherence to permits, method statements, and risk assessments; provide technical guidance and mentorship to subcontractors and junior engineers.
Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Finland
€90,000 - €95,000 + Full rotational Package (including €250 net a week allowance, Accommodation, Flights, rotation etc.)
