We are hiring a Commissioning Manager to lead the MEP testing and commissioning process for a hyperscale data centre project based in Mons, Belgium. This is a key client-facing role on a major mission-critical programme, working with a respected contractor known for complex infrastructure delivery across Europe.
You’ll be responsible for managing commissioning across electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring full technical compliance, programme alignment, and safety — from pre-commissioning through to final handover.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all MEP commissioning activities from pre-start to final handover
Review and develop commissioning documentation, including RAMS, test packs, method statements, and QA checklists
Oversee subcontractor commissioning, manage testing teams, and conduct witness testing
Liaise with client, consultants, and trade contractors to ensure alignment on systems integration and commissioning sequences
Track and report commissioning progress against project milestones
Ensure all commissioning activities meet EHS, quality, and performance standards
Maintain commissioning logs, issue resolution trackers, and technical documentation
Provide oversight on specialist equipment needs, test procedures, and system validation
Troubleshoot and close out issues efficiently to meet programme deadlines
Candidate Requirements:
Electrically or mechanically qualified (Degree, HND, or Trade background)
Proven experience in commissioning management on large-scale data centres or mission-critical projects
Expert understanding of MEP systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, UPS, generators, and fire alarms
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience reporting to senior stakeholders and clients
Right to work in the EU or eligibility to work in Belgium is preferred
Knowledge of integrated systems testing (IST), QA/QC processes, and project documentation standards
