A leading European MEP contractor is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to join their delivery team on a large-scale hyperscale data centre project in Mons, Belgium. This is a fixed-term role running until 31st December 2025, with the opportunity to transition to the next project in the Netherlands or elsewhere in Europe upon completion.

This role can be offered on either a day rate or annual salaried basis. Candidates must hold an EU passport to work across European locations without visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the overall M&E commissioning process, ensuring systems are delivered fully operational to client requirements
  • Attend meetings with clients, subcontractors, and project teams to support M&E system delivery
  • Coordinate commissioning activities with all other trades on site
  • Identify required test equipment and manage subcontractor testing activities
  • Carry out witness testing, review commissioning documentation, and ensure compliance with project standards
  • Prepare and review commissioning and testing RAMS
  • Conduct quality control inspections during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages
  • Resolve commissioning-related issues promptly and ensure deficiencies are corrected quickly
  • Maintain detailed commissioning site reports
  • Ensure all commissioning personnel have the necessary EHS training for their tasks

Candidate Profile:

  • Electrically or mechanically qualified (degree or trade background)
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning (Cx) practices and procedures
  • Experience in delivering commissioning activities on large MEP or mission-critical projects
  • Skilled communicator, able to update project directors, clients, and design teams on progress
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment
