BMS Engineer – Milan – Data Centre

We are currently partnering with a bespoke Fire, Security and IT Solutions design, installation and support provider operation on Major Construction and Mission Critical projects across Europe. Due to continued success, they are seeking a BMS Engineer to join them on a Data Centre Project in Milan.

Requirements

•   Oversee BMS Installation and Commissioning:
Manage and coordinate the installation, integration, and commissioning of Building Management Systems across the data centre project, ensuring all works align with design intent, specifications, and client standards.
•   Technical Interface and Coordination:
Act as the key technical liaison between the M&E, controls, and commissioning teams, resolving any BMS-related design or interface issues and ensuring smooth collaboration with electrical, mechanical, and IT disciplines.
•   System Testing and Validation:
Lead functional testing, cause-and-effect checks, and performance validation of the BMS to ensure reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with project and client requirements.
•   Documentation and Quality Assurance:
Review and maintain technical documentation including drawings, control panel schematics, I/O lists, and operation manuals. Ensure all quality assurance procedures are followed and accurate records are kept for client handover.
•   Continuous Improvement and Support:
Identify opportunities to optimise system performance during commissioning and handover. Provide technical input and support for future enhancements, upgrades, or maintenance strategies.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification
Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Italy
