Senior Authorised Person – Data Centre – Netherlands

€80,000 - €100,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + €28k Living Allowance

We are working with a leading European construction and engineering contractor delivering complex mission-critical data centre projects across Europe.
 

They are currently seeking a Senior Authorised Person (Electrical) to take a lead role across electrical safety, switching operations, and HV/LV systems on major projects in the Netherlands.
 

This is a senior, site-critical role with full responsibility for electrical safety governance and system control across high-value, technically demanding environments.
 

As Senior Authorised Person, you will act as the lead electrical authority on site, responsible for implementing and managing electrical safety rules, switching operations, and safe systems of work across HV/LV infrastructure.
 

You will play a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all electrical activities on a large-scale data centre project.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and audit Electrical Safety Rules and procedures
• Lead and supervise HV/LV switching operations and system control
• Ensure safe systems of work across all electrical installations and operations
• Investigate incidents, dangerous occurrences, and operational restrictions
• Maintain training and authorisation records
• Approve and review switching schedules and technical documentation
• Oversee electrical maintenance and operational activities
• Lead coordination across engineering teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Drive health & safety and quality standards across the project
• Support project close-out, including O&M manuals, QA files, and handover
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, engineering reviews, and planning sessions

About You

• Trade background with 10–15 years’ experience in electrical projects
• Proven experience as an Authorised Person (HV/LV systems)
• Strong background delivering HV/MV infrastructure projects
• Experience with data centres, power generation, or utilities (DNO/IDNO)
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety systems and procedures
• Experience supervising complex cable works (testing, phasing, spiking)
• Understanding of design & build projects
• Knowledge of mechanical systems (advantageous)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
