We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team and play a key role in the financial management of refurbishment and retrofit projects. Working closely with project and leadership teams, the successful candidate will support the delivery of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring commercial control and value are maintained throughout.
• Support the pre-construction process, including cost planning, tender analysis and contract negotiations
• Manage project budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
• Prepare and agree subcontractor packages and manage subcontractor accounts
• Monitor and manage variations, change control and risk
• Prepare valuations, applications for payment and final accounts
• Work closely with project and site teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
• Build and maintain strong client and supply chain relationships
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
• Minimum 5–6 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role
• Experience working on refurbishment and retrofit projects preferred
• Strong understanding of traditional and design-and-build contracts
• Excellent written, numerical and communication skills
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks end-to-end
• Strong understanding of the construction sector
• Confident using commercial and cost management systems
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, consultative approach
• Ability to build long-term relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
• Detail-oriented team player with a positive and solutions-focused mindset
