A leading European data centre delivery contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead the full electrical package on a major hyperscale data centre project in Portugal. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering electrical works safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
 

The Electrical Project Manager will take full ownership of the electrical scope, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure successful project execution from installation through to commissioning readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all electrical installation activities
• Manage electrical design coordination with internal and external teams
• Monitor works to ensure programme, budget, and quality compliance
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to maintain alignment and transparency
• Drive productivity through structured weekly and daily planning
• Promote and enforce strict Health & Safety standards
• Track critical milestones and mitigate schedule risks
• Monitor labour, materials, and resource allocation
• Lead and mentor engineers, supervisors, and package managers
• Coordinate activities across shared work areas with other trades
• Review and approve weekly foremen reports and site documentation
 

Essential Criteria

• 10+ years’ experience managing large-scale electrical projects
• Strong background within M&E contracting
• Data centre or mission-critical experience highly desirable
• Trade or Engineering qualification preferred
• Proven track record managing programme, budgets, and large site teams
• Strong stakeholder management and reporting capability
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
