Salary: €80,000 - €90,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + Living Allowance

We are working with one of Europe’s leading data centre design and build contractors, a company trusted by global hyperscale clients to deliver mission-critical facilities across the continent.

Specialising in turnkey data centre solutions, this contractor covers every stage of delivery – from design and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and handover. With over 500 MW of IT load currently in delivery, they are one of the most established and fastest-growing names in the sector.

Due to rapid growth, they are now seeking an Electrical Construction Manager to join their expanding team on a major data centre project in Amsterdam.

As Electrical Construction Manager, you will take full responsibility for the planning, coordination, and delivery of all electrical works on a high-value data centre project.

This is a leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage large teams of subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, budget, and schedule targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a detailed electrical construction plan, including scheduling, resource allocation, and manpower planning.
  • Oversee the procurement and installation of electrical equipment, ensuring all materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
  • Lead, coordinate, and manage electrical subcontractors, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and project procedures.
  • Implement and maintain quality control processes for all electrical installations, ensuring strict adherence to design and technical requirements.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and costs, including tracking equipment and material expenses.
  • Drive progress to meet project deadlines, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
  • Maintain effective communication between clients, contractors, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project progress and expectations.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities, including changes and modifications to the original plan.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and European standards.
  • Report regularly to senior management on progress, costs, and potential challenges.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in an M&E contracting environment, ideally on large-scale mission-critical projects.
  • Proven track record of managing large site teams and delivering electrical systems on time and within budget.
  • Previous data centre project experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant construction management software.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Benefits

  • €80,000 - €90,000 base salary.
  • Accommodation provided during rotation periods.
  • Full rotational package, including travel and living allowance.
  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge hyperscale data centre projects.
  • Career progression with a leading European contractor at the forefront of the data centre sector.
  • Collaborative, international work environment.
