A leading European construction and engineering specialist is seeking an experienced Commissioning Package Manager to lead commissioning activities on a large-scale data centre project in Zurich.
You will be responsible for managing the full commissioning scope on site, coordinating internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and the client to ensure all systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full commissioning scope on site, from planning through to close-out
Develop, manage, and close the project commissioning plan and schedule
Lead and manage commissioning and testing teams on site
Chair daily and weekly commissioning meetings and report progress internally and externally
Coordinate commissioning activities with construction teams, package managers, vendors, and the client
Manage commissioning tagging, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and area control processes
Oversee Factory Witness Testing (FWT) and main plant vendor activities
Track commissioning progress, resources, and staffing levels against the schedule
Manage snagging and ensure timely close-out of all commissioning-related defects
Compile, review, and sign off all testing and commissioning documentation
Support cost control for commissioning activities, including subcontractors, plant, equipment, and variations
Ensure all commissioning activities comply with health, safety, and quality standards
Requirements
Strong experience in a Commissioning Management or Package Management role
Background in data centres or other mission-critical environments preferred
Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems commissioning
Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and vendors
Strong planning, coordination, and reporting skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
