Our client is a specialist fit out contractor undertaking projects across London. This is the interiors division undertaking fit out & refurbishment schemes in the hotels residential & commercial sector. Our client is now seeking a Document Controller to join the team based from their City of London, Duties Coordinate all activities related to the Document Control procedure, including technical documents, drawings, and commercial correspondence Edit documents and generate the various document control reports as required Type site documents, and follow up of all the site needs. Make sure that controlled copies of latest approved documents and drawings are given to the appropriate staff, subcontractors and suppliers as applicable Maintain updated records of all approved documents and drawings and their distribution clearly Maintain the documents and drawings in the Document Control office under safe custody without any damage or deterioration with easy traceability Maintain and update files, control logs and register as required by the project Ensuring that drawing transmittals are acknowledged to avoid disputes Manage the document/drawing review process, Internal and External Archiving data for historical purposes Coordinate with staff and organise for printing, and any other admin duties Update and maintain Standard Forms to be used for the project such as Transmittals, Drawings Review Comments Form, Material Submittal Approval Form, Design Field Change Form, etc. Applicants must have previous experience in a document control capacity and be familiar with web document control systems (Aconix,BIW) as well as the full Microsoft suite of products (Excel etc).
