Sustainability Lead

Our client is a global Data Centre developer undertaking the development and operation of sustainable data centres for some of the world’s largest technology companies. They have a true global presence operating across the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia & Africa

The need now exists for a Sustainability Lead / Sustainability Project Manager to join the team based in the regional business unit based in Central London. 

The general & key duties of the role will comprise: 
•    Leading the implementation of environmental and energy management systems with operational teams and external consultants.
•    Working with internal cross-functional teams to share knowledge and successfully deliver sustainability programs.
•    Use data to provide critical feedback and drive continuous improvement.
•    Support, prepare, and manage the implementation of ISO standard programs, legislative reporting requirements, and best practices.
•    Deliver comprehensive ESG (environmental, social, and governance) reporting to meet customer requirements.
•    Represent company ESG agenda and directly implement the ESG strategy in collaboration with the director of sustainability.
•    Provide expertise on construction projects to ensure sustainability requirements are aligned with company sustainability strategy and commercial objectives. 
•    Lead sustainability initiatives across the organisation.
•    Develop and establish strategic frameworks to guide decision-making and manage various operational compliance and energy efficiency projects.
•    Select and implement local sustainability projects, procedures, and frameworks in alignment with the sustainability strategy and in agreement with the director of sustainability.

Our client is seeking a 4+ years’ experience in project management roles within a consulting or professional services environment within the construction / engineering sectors with experience of managing large scale, complex project portfolios in a fast-paced environment
