Senior Engineer – Commercial – Dublin

Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined Tier 1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects

Due to continued growth in the region of their Commercial division, our client is now seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team in Dublin.

Responsibilities

•    Technical Leadership:
Provide engineering oversight and technical support across all phases of commercial construction projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications, building regulations, and industry standards.
•    Setting Out & Surveying:
Manage and carry out accurate setting out duties, coordinate site surveys, and ensure control points are maintained to support structural and architectural works.
•    Quality Control & Assurance:
Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures on-site, ensuring works are completed to the highest standard and all documentation is recorded and maintained.
•    Coordination with Design & Site Teams:
Liaise with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal site management to resolve technical issues and ensure design intent is delivered effectively on-site.
•    Mentoring & Supervision:
Support and guide junior engineers and site teams, fostering a collaborative approach and contributing to staff development across engineering functions.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree level qualification
Must have 8+ years’ experience in a similar role on commercial construction projects or similar
Must be based within a commutable distance of Dublin
Must have excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)

Benefits

€80,000 - €90,000 + Benefits
