Our client is a leading engineering services contractor with projects across Europe works on a wide variety of projects primarily involved in data centres, pharmaceuticals and life sciences schemes.This organisation offers full technical services including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection, Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling), Geo-Surveying, Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services and Maintenance.

Due to the company's continued growth we are seeking to employ a dedicated Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor with Electrical Background to join the delivery team for a 30MW DC Project in our Data Centre division in Dublin.  If you are a Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor who has enthusiasm for continuous learning and personal development, this opportunity is waiting for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to identify potential commercial risks and ensure prompt reporting of same to management.

  • Ensure compliance with contract obligations and provide advice and monitoring of same to construction team.

  • Manage subcontractor accounts from initial award to interim valuation, variations and final account.

  • Managing and forecasting turnover and cash flow of the projects.

  • Reviewing and commercial management of all projects, to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.

  • Identify, analyse and report on trends within the business & projects.

  • Review all incoming correspondence from employers, design team and /or subcontractors, to identify contractually critical items and to initiate replies

  • Ensure construction team is adhering to all contractual requirements and providing advice and monitoring of same.

  • Manage and mentor junior members of the commercial team.

  • Compile monthly progress applications and ensure they are inclusive of accurate remeasure, site variations, day-works or claims

  • Procurement - operational procurement activity and contract support, in conjunction with the procurement department.

  • All other duties associated with this role.

Key Requirements and Benefits:

  • Minimum 8+ years' experience post qualification essential.

  • Relevant third level qualification essential in Quantity Surveying/ Construction Economics.

  • Previous Data Centre experience is an advantage.

  • Experience in an Electrical role required.

  • Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.

  • Excellent IT skills.

  • Demonstrates excellent presentation, verbal, written, and communication skills.
