We are urgently seeking for an experienced stand-alone Project Manager for a £20m Commercial Refurbishment project in Hertfordshire. Our client is a leading contractor  focused on operating across Europe and has become a construction services provider of choice in growth segments such as pharmaceuticals, data centres, life sciences, industrial, commercial and power transmission and distribution. As an ideal Project Manager you will have a strong background in delivery of large complex projects which include cut & carve elements and other engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Initiate detailed project plans, schedules and budgets for refurbishment projects.

  • Conduct site assessment to identify the project requirements, risks and opportunities.

  • Team up with stakeholders to specify project goals, deliverables and success criterias.

  • Identify and distribute resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

  • Oversee all the site construction activities ensuring that works are performed safely and effectively following the project plans and specifications.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Carry out quality control measures and procedures to identify and address construction errors and deficiencies.

  • Manage project costs and cash flows and provide regular financial updates to stakeholders.

  • Prepare regular updates on project progress, milestones and issues, and address stakeholder concerns in a timely and professional manner.

  • Degree in Construction Management/ Engineering or related field.

  • 10+ years’ experience in Project Management role.

  • Proven track record in delivering large complex projects.

  • Commercial awareness is an advantage.

  • Proven ability to manage projects and deliver results within budget and schedule.

  • Strong verbal & written communication and problem solving skills.

  • Proficiency in project management softwares and tools.
