Project Director – Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical Projects

We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead large-scale pharmaceutical and life sciences projects in Ireland. You will take full responsibility for the safe, compliant, and profitable delivery of projects, while shaping long-term client relationships and supporting the growth of the Northern Europe business.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for the delivery of major pharmaceutical / biotech projects or multiple projects simultaneously
• Provide strategic input to the growth of the Life Sciences division in Northern Europe
• Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
• Drive commercial performance – maximise project margins, cost control, and risk management
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary project teams
• Build and maintain long-term client and stakeholder relationships
• Oversee tenders, procurement, subcontractor management, and negotiations
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards
• Act as a key representative for the business with clients, consultants, and industry bodies

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years’ senior project management experience in pharmaceutical / biotech construction
• Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge (EPC/EPCM)
• Proven track record delivering complex life sciences facilities (cGMP, cleanrooms, laboratories, manufacturing)
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships at the highest level
• Experience across semiconductors, data centres, or battery plants advantageous
• Inspirational leadership and communication skills
