Pre-Construction Planner – Data Centres – Dublin Our client is a €1.5bn turnover, multi-disciplined Tier 1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. They undertake major, complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Planner to join their team in Dublin. Create detailed and logic-linked programmes during pre-construction and tender stages, including design development, procurement, enabling works, and mobilisation—aligned with client requirements and tender deliverables.
• Strategic Planning from Concept Through Delivery
Provide programme input and planning expertise from concept design through to handover. Develop high-level masterplans and phased strategies for civils, MEP, fit-out, and commissioning works—specific to mission-critical environments.
• Interface with Estimating, Design & Delivery Teams
Collaborate closely with bid, design, and operations teams to ensure buildability, sequencing, and logistics are fully integrated into programme outputs. Highlight risks and opportunities in alignment with procurement and delivery plans.
• Use of Advanced Planning Tools & BIM Integration
Develop and manage 4D construction programmes using software such as Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6, and work with digital teams to link with BIM models where required for client presentations or internal review.
• Programme Handover & Ongoing Support During Delivery
Transfer approved baseline programmes to the construction team post-award. Provide ongoing programme updates, logic reviews, mitigation strategies, and progress reporting throughout project lifecycle—from groundworks to commissioning.
Must have 10+ years’ experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must be based within a commutable distance of Dublin
Must have excellent communication skills (Written and Oral)
