Operations Manager - Data Centres – Germany 

To €120,000 DOE + Package 

Our client with a €2billion turnover is a Tier 1 main contractor operating across the UK, Ireland & Europe. Undertaking major complex schemes with a particular emphasis on Data Centres, Pharmaceutical and Life Science projects. 

Due to continued growth in the region of their Data Centre division, our client is now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their European Data Centre team. 

As Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing multiple simultaneous schemes (usually 2-3 depending on size / value, typically their projects are large and range €250m - €850m – approx. €150m per annum turnover) across Germany. 

This is a client facing and requires a commercially astute experienced Operations Manager / Contracts Manager with strong Data Centre projects experience. 

The role will include: 

• Planning of procurement ensuring engineering is developed in order to meet deadlines. 

• Ensuring company procedures are implemented consistently and are being adhered to on each of your projects. 

• Ensuring your team fully reviewed and understood the Project specifications and documentation on each project. 

• Review quality of output. 

• Weekly Audits & Review project audit plan and ensuring closure of all open audit findings. 

• Attending client meetings when required. 

• Guiding, assisting and developing your team. 

• Understand strategy and pipeline for future projects. 

• Managing the tender process from an operations function. 

• Manage the project's overall operations and ensure that the Safety, Quality, and Environmental objectives of the client and the project team are established and progress toward these is measured. 

Ideal Criteria: 

• 3rd level qualification, Engineering Degree, or recognised trade qualification. 

• 10+ years’ experience of managing large construction projects as a General Contractor Internationally.
