Mechanical Supervisor – Data Centres – Amsterdam, Netherlands

Salary: €80,000 - €90,000 + Accommodation + Rotation + Travel + Living Allowance

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical systems on a major hyperscale data centre project in Amsterdam.

You will oversee site operations, coordinate with subcontractors and other trades, and ensure health and safety compliance, quality standards, and project deadlines are consistently met. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, high-specification construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct weekly toolbox talks to ensure safety and operational clarity.
• Prepare and deliver weekly progress reports, highlighting key issues and milestones.
• Liaise and coordinate daily site activities with other disciplines, including electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams.
• Develop and maintain a two-week lookahead programme for upcoming works and deliverables.
• Ensure labour requirements are met in line with project schedules and milestones.
• Maintain a high level of quality control across all mechanical works.
• Drive subcontractor productivity, ensuring works are delivered efficiently and on time.
• Identify and escalate all variations, risks, and delays to line management promptly.
• Verify that all plant materials delivered to site meet agreed specifications and project requirements.
• Oversee safe storage and coordination of all mechanical materials on site.
• Ensure all subcontractor plant, tools, and access equipment are certified and in excellent working condition.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a mechanical supervisory role within large-scale construction or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems within data centre environments or similar high-specification facilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record of leading site teams and delivering results in high-pressure environments.
• EU passport or legal right to work in the Netherlands.
