The company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the mechanical package on a €500m+ hyperscale Data Centre project in Mons, Belgium. This is a senior role responsible for the overall delivery, quality, safety, and schedule of mechanical systems on site.
Role Overview
The Mechanical Project Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all mechanical works. You will manage subcontractors, ensure compliance with project specifications, and provide technical leadership to deliver the mechanical package efficiently and safely.
• Lead and manage the delivery of all mechanical installations (HVAC, piping, plant, etc.)
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor mechanical works to ensure on-time delivery
• Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and programme requirements
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and method statements
• Liaise with the project management, commissioning, and design teams to resolve technical challenges
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with local regulations, project standards, and best practice
• Mechanical engineering background with relevant qualifications
• Proven experience managing mechanical packages on large-scale construction or industrial projects (data centres preferred)
• Strong leadership, organisational, and coordination skills
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical building services, installation processes, and safety standards
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment
