Mechanical Project Manager – West Sussex - Industrial 

We are currently working with a well-established MEP contractor operating throughout the UK in a range of sectors including, education, healthcare, technology and commercial. There is an urgent need for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a range of Industrial projects in West Sussex.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Package Delivery:
Lead the full mechanical scope of works (including HVAC, process pipework, and PH systems) from pre-construction through to commissioning, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to specification.
Coordination with Site & Design Teams:
Interface daily with site teams, design consultants, and other trades to ensure mechanical installation is fully coordinated and clash-free, particularly within complex plant and service zones.
Subcontractor & Labour Management:
Manage mechanical subcontractors and direct labour on-site, ensuring high performance, adherence to programme, and compliance with H&S and quality standards.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track installation progress against programme milestones. Provide accurate weekly reports on status, risks, material needs, and resource forecasting to senior management and the main contractor.
Commissioning & Handover Preparation:
Oversee mechanical testing and commissioning activities. Ensure documentation, snagging, and system handover processes are completed efficiently and in line with client expectations.

Requirements

•    Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate a stable track record with a Main or Subcontractor background
•    Must have excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written)
•    Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades’ background
•    Must have 5+ years’ experience in a similar position on industrial construction projects

Benefits

£75,000 - £80,000 DOE + Package
