Mechanical Project Engineer

Data Centre Construction
Our client is an established Mechanical & Electrical subcontractor delivering MEP packages for Tier 1 main contractors across the UK and Europe. Their European division focuses on large-scale HVAC and mechanical installations for data centres and other high-tech facilities.

They have recently secured a €50m mechanical package on a 50MW data centre project in Frankfurt and are now looking to appoint a Mechanical Project Engineer to strengthen the delivery team on site.
This role suits someone who understands how major mechanical packages are built, enjoys being close to site activity, and can bridge the gap between engineering, supervision, and project delivery. You’ll be supporting the Project Manager, coordinating technical detail, and helping drive the project safely and efficiently to completion.

What You’ll Be Doing:
•    Supporting delivery of a major mechanical package on a live data centre project
•    Coordinating mechanical works with supervisors, subcontractors, and design teams
•    Reviewing drawings, specs, and technical submissions
•    Assisting with planning, sequencing, and short-term programmes
•    Managing RFIs, technical queries, and change control
•    Monitoring quality, progress, and compliance with project requirements
•    Reporting into the Project Manager and contributing to overall project delivery

What They’re After:
•    Experience as a Mechanical Project Engineer (data centres or large-scale projects preferred)
•    Strong technical understanding of HVAC and mechanical building services
•    Ability to read, interpret, and challenge drawings and specifications
•    Organised, proactive, and comfortable working on busy construction sites
•    Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
•    EU work rights (or visa already in place)

Why Apply?
•    High-profile data centre project with a long programme of works
•    Well-structured project team and strong support on site
•    Excellent opportunity to build experience in Europe’s booming data centre sector

Package:
Negotiable basic salary, full rotational package, bonus, and additional benefits
