Our client is a leading engineering company services primarily involved in life sciences, data centres and pharmaceutical schemes with core divisions that includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection. The company also offers exceptional services in Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

The need now exists for an experienced Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer to join the team in Cork, Ireland. As a Mechanical HVAC Project Engineer you will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation and commissioning of HVAC systems within the construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering with specific expertise in HVAC design project and management.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Team up with project stakeholders to develop HVAC system requirements & specifications based on project needs, requirements and standards.

  • Report directly to Project Manager about the project progress and status updates.

  • Manage accurate plan on HVAC design drawings, calculations and specifications using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.

  • Make load calculations, equipment selection and ductwork designs to ensure optimal system performance.

  • Verify & approve HVAC submittals and drawings to check compliance with project requirement specifications.

  • Coordinate delivery schedules and logistics for HVAC materials and equipment to ensure timely installation and commissioning.

  • Supervise and support in HVAC system installation ensuring the project plan is in line with the project specifications.

  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to verify workmanship, system performance and compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Building Services is essential.

  • 3+ years’ experience in thesame role.

  • HVAC experience is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in Revit is essential.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
