The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of critical mechanical building services systems, ensuring the project is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
•    Support the delivery of mechanical services packages from design coordination through installation, commissioning, and handover.
•    Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements and healthcare standards.
•    Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, public health, and CSA teams to ensure fully integrated delivery.
•    Manage and monitor subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality on site.
•    Ensure mechanical installations comply with HTM, HBN, Building Regulations, and project specifications.
•    Support inspection, testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover activities, including O&M documentation.
•    Assist with programme planning, progress reporting, and resolution of technical issues.
•    Participate in design and technical workshops, providing engineering input and buildability advice.
•    Champion Health & Safety, ensuring all mechanical works are carried out in line with project and statutory requirements.
•    For Senior-level candidates, provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.

Requirements
•    Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
•    Proven experience delivering mechanical building services on large-scale construction projects.
•    Previous experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or other technically complex environments is highly desirable.
•    Strong understanding of HVAC systems, pipework, plant installations, and commissioning processes.
•    Knowledge of UK healthcare standards (HTMs / HBNs) is a strong advantage.
•    Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

In Return, Our Client Offers
•    Highly competitive salary, dependent on experience
•    Comprehensive benefits and allowance package
•    Long-term, secure project pipeline with a market-leading contractor
•    Opportunity to work on one of the UK’s most significant healthcare developments
