Health & Safety Advisor Our client is a specialist MEP contractor, operating across the UK & Europe. They undertake mechanical and electrical works packages on complex builds, for Tier 1 main contractors on projects including: Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, industrial and Life Science projects Due to recent new project secured in Northern Sweden, our client is now seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the sited based team involved helping to deliver a major industrial production plant project with an overall project value of €5bn and build programme of 10-years Responsibilities Requirements In return our client can offer
• Ensure adherence to Company Safety Management System, Environmental Health & Safety statutory provisions, and relevant legislation.
• Develop and maintain Construction Stage Plans, method statements, risk assessments, Safe Plans of Action, and H&S permits to work.
• Monitor compliance with Project Execution Plans and ensure the implementation of Good Safety Practices across the organization.
• Assist accident investigations and communicate reports promptly to the project management team.
• Conduct ongoing C.O.S.H.H assessments and manage the control of hazardous substances.
• Perform regular site audits and inspections, document findings, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure that safety interventions are completed and documented.
• Maintain and manage records of statutory inspections and ensure they are available for project activities, tools, and equipment.
• Take a proactive approach to project EHS requirements and ensure sub-contractors adhere to company EHS policies and procedures.
• Compile and deliver toolbox talks as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date Safety File documentation
• Relevant third level degree qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety
• 3+ years’ experience on large construction sites (Data Centres would be a significant advantage)
• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation
• Ability to efficiently manage all environmental, health and safety issues on site.
