Head of SHEQ – Construction – London We are currently partnering with a well renowned Main Contractor who have a huge presence in London and the rest of the UK. They have successfully demonstrated a great standard of delivery in a range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Education, Heritage, Healthcare and many more. Due to continued growth, the need now exists for an experienced Head of SHEQ to based in one of their offices in Soho or North London and lead the team in their Health & Safety division across London. Lead the development and implementation of SHEQ strategies across all projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with current legislation and best practices.
• Compliance & Risk Management
Oversee company-wide compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations, carrying out regular audits, risk assessments, and performance reviews to identify improvement areas.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Training
Champion a positive SHEQ culture by delivering engaging training programs, toolbox talks, and workshops, while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to embed safe and sustainable working practices.
• Incident Investigation & Continuous Improvement
Lead thorough investigations into incidents and near misses, ensuring accurate reporting, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitoring, Reporting & Innovation
Develop and maintain robust reporting systems to track SHEQ KPIs and performance data, presenting insights to senior leadership and identifying opportunities for innovation and process optimisation across projects.
Must have 10+ years’ experience in a management role within Health and Safety
Must have UK Passport or RTW in the UK
