As part of their ongoing expansion across mainland Europe, the company is now seeking an experienced Energy Marshall to join their delivery team on a new-build hyperscale data centre project in Portugal.
This is a key site-based role responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of electrical energisation and power-up activities throughout the construction and commissioning phases. The successful candidate will ensure that all electrical systems are energised safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project protocols and international standards.
• Plan, manage, and oversee all electrical energisation and de-energisation activities on site.
• Coordinate with electrical, commissioning, and safety teams to ensure strict adherence to LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
• Maintain detailed energy management and switching schedules.
• Supervise and authorise energisation of systems in line with project safety documentation.
• Work closely with client representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to meet energisation milestones.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with temporary and permanent electrical systems.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are energised and handed over safely and on schedule.
• Proven experience working as an Energy Marshall, Electrical Authorised Person, or similar role on large-scale industrial or data centre projects.
• Strong technical understanding of high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) electrical systems.
• In-depth knowledge of LOTO procedures, switching operations, and electrical safety protocols.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple interfaces on a fast-paced project.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications and safety authorisations.
• Previous experience working on major data centre projects is highly desirable.
