Electrical Project Manager – Hull – Data Centre We are currently partnering with an MEP Contractor operating throughout Mainland Europe, UK & Ireland. Due to continued success, they are looking for an Electrical Project Manager to help aid further growth in Hull. Responsibilities • Extensive Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Installations: A deep understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, backup generators, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and other critical infrastructure systems specific to data centres. The PM should be familiar with electrical codes, standards, and best practices for the installation and commissioning of electrical systems. • Project Management Experience: Proven experience in managing electrical projects, particularly in the construction or commissioning of data centres. The Electrical PM should be skilled in managing budgets, timelines, resources, and risk, ensuring the electrical components of the data centre are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Knowledge of Safety Regulations and Standards: A thorough understanding of electrical safety standards, building codes, and regulations (e.g., IEC, NEC, and local building codes). The PM must ensure that all electrical work adheres to safety protocols, minimising the risk of accidents and ensuring compliance with health and safety laws.
• Experience with Electrical Testing and Commissioning: The PM should have experience in overseeing the testing, inspection, and commissioning of electrical systems in data centres, ensuring all electrical infrastructure is functional, efficient, and meets operational requirements before handover.
• Strong Leadership and Communication Skills: Effective communication and leadership skills are critical for managing teams, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders, and ensuring all parties are aligned with project goals. The Electrical PM should be able to provide clear instructions, resolve issues, and keep the project moving smoothly.
Must have 3+ Years experience in a similar role
Data Centre experience is preferred
