We are seeking an experienced Electrical Package Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of the electrical systems package on a major data centre project in Lisbon, Portugal. The successful candidate will manage design coordination, procurement, installation, commissioning, subcontractor performance, safety, quality, and client communications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full electrical systems package from design through procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Ensure site safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and Safety Advisor, including setup, management, and close-out of the safety file.
Promote a strong Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) culture within the project team.
Work closely with the Project Manager, consulting engineers, and client teams to align schedules and ensure timely delivery.
Manage all package-related costs, including:
Supervise all daily site operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Oversee subcontractor activities, progress tracking, manpower management, and schedule adherence.
Issue labour hours for internal and subcontractor teams to the time administrator.
Attend all relevant project meetings: site, internal reviews, engineering reviews, planning, coordination, and handover.
Issue weekly cost reports including orders placed, materials expected, and labour usage.
Produce internal weekly progress reports based on supervisors’ updates and WBS progress.
Produce external weekly reports covering delays, design constraints, access issues, and progress percentages.
Coordinate material deliveries in line with project programme requirements.
Maintain a weekly photographic diary of site progress.
Perform additional duties required to successfully deliver the electrical package.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
Proven experience managing large-scale electrical packages on industrial, data centre, pharma, or mission-critical projects.
Strong background in coordinating complex electrical and mechanical systems.
Experience managing industrial relations.
Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and construction best practice.
Experience with design & build projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
