Electrical Estimator- Cork

€70,000- 80,000 DOE + Competitive Package

We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering services contractor in their search for an experienced and dedicated Electrical Estimator in Cork, Ireland to oversee the preparation of accurate and reliable estimates of our electrical projects. The company is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Propose on a variety of large projects involved in pharmaceutical, commercial, data centres & healthcare.

  • Review project specifications, drawings and other relevant documents to understand the scope of work, materials required and project constraints.

  • Collaborate in the full tender process from inception to completion. 

  • Collaborate with Planning Managers, Project Managers and Engineers to ensure the alignment of project development and success.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects including materials, labour and equipment cost.

  • Preparation of bid prospects ready for presentation to project managers.

  • Take part in pre and post tender interviews. 

  • Prepare subcontract quotes and ensure compliance with the project specifications.

  • Join in meetings both internal and client based and contribute to the best of your knowledge.

  • Accomplish the take-offs from tender drawings. 

  • 3 years’ of experience in a similar role. 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Construction Management or relevant Engineering discipline. 

  • Trade background would be beneficial. 

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external partners. 

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills. 

  • Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and personal development. 

  • Proven knowledge in electrical estimator principles, practices and technologies. 

  • Excellent communication, leadership & interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledgeable in estimating softwares & tools.
