Electrical Engineer - Technology – Somerset We are currently Partnering with a High-Growth, Market Leader in the Modular Cleanroom Design for the Biopharmaceutical sector. Demonstrating success across the UK and EMEA, they are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join them on a recently acquired technology construction project in Somerset. Assist in the delivery of high-spec electrical systems including LV distribution, containment, lighting, fire alarm, structured cabling, and specialist services — ensuring compliance with design, regulations, and quality standards.
• Design Coordination & Technical Resolution:
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and schedules. Raise RFIs, coordinate with BIM teams and consultants, and support the resolution of technical queries to ensure installation is fully coordinated and buildable.
• Procurement Assistance & Material Tracking:
Prepare take-offs for electrical equipment and systems. Support procurement and track delivery schedules for key plant and long-lead items, ensuring materials arrive in line with programme milestones.
• QA/QC & System Testing Preparation:
Assist in compiling test documentation, ITPs, and commissioning packs. Support QA checks, pre-commissioning activities, and witness testing for electrical systems.
• Site Reporting & Programme Alignment:
Monitor progress of electrical works, support daily and weekly reporting, and assist the Electrical Project Manager in ensuring works are sequenced efficiently and aligned with project-critical milestones.
• Must have excellent communication skills (Verbal & Written)
• Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades’ background
• Must have 5+ years’ experience in a similar position on industrial construction projects
