Due to our client's continued expansion, we are actively seeking an EHS Officer to be working in their projects based in Limerick, Ireland. Our client is focused in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection division and also offers additional top notch services that includes Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Specialist Lift, Off Site Fabrication, Technical Support Services, Maintenance, Asset Management, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying. As EHS Officer you will be responsible for implementing & maintaining environmental, health and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Advance, implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures & programs to ensure compliance with relevant regulations & standards.
Manage risk assessments & hazard analysis to identify potential safety & environmental hazards in the workplace.
Team up with management & stakeholders to develop strategies for mitigating risks and improving safety performance.
Keep track & evaluate workplace practices to ensure compliance with EHS regulations, company policies & industry standards.
Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvements related to EHS.
Degree in EHS or related field.
5+ years of experience in thesame role.
Knowledge of EHS regulations & standards.
Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
