Commissioning Engineers – Electrical & Mechanical Location: Gävle, Sweden A leading European data centre delivery contractor is seeking 1 x Electrical Commissioning Engineer and 1 x Mechanical Commissioning Engineer to join a flagship hyperscale development in Gävle, Sweden. This role is suited to experienced commissioning professionals with strong mission-critical backgrounds and proven experience delivering large-scale data centre or industrial infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the Commissioning Manager, project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure systems are installed, tested, and validated in line with programme, quality, and safety standards. This role requires strong technical knowledge, documentation control, vendor coordination, and experience within fast-track design & build environments.

€120,000 – €130,000 + Rotation + Accommodation + Travel + EU Allowance

The Commissioning Engineer will take responsibility for the safe planning, execution, and handover of electrical or mechanical systems across a major hyperscale data centre project.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise FAT, SAT & Integrated Systems Testing (IST)
• Witness testing and manage energisation activities
• Coordinate specialist subcontractors and OEM vendors
• Review and approve method statements, test scripts and RAMS
• Manage red-line drawings and commissioning documentation
• Drive punch list / snag closure to zero-defect handover
• Attend daily and weekly commissioning meetings
• Ensure full compliance with project HSEQ standards
Electrical Scope (Electrical Role)
• Switchgear & transformers
• UPS systems & generators
• Protection systems & relay testing
• Cable testing & energisation sequencing
• Critical power systems validation
Mechanical Scope (Mechanical Role)
• CRAH / CRAC units
• AHUs & HVAC systems
• Pumps, pipework & hydronic systems
• BMS integration & functional testing
• Thermal load & performance validation
Essential Criteria
• Proven commissioning experience on hyperscale / mission-critical projects
• Strong knowledge of design & build environments
• Experience with integrated systems testing
• Excellent coordination, reporting and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work within strict deadlines and fast-track programmes
