Civil Engineer - Data Centres – Portugal

We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing European contractor delivering world-class data centre and high-tech projects across the Nordics and Western Europe. They have played key roles in delivering some of Europe’s most impressive Data Centre projects to date and are now looking to further expand their team with a Civil Engineer in Portugal.

Responsibilities

•   Civil Design Coordination
Coordinate with design consultants and internal engineering teams to review civil and site infrastructure designs, ensuring integration with structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
•   Site Infrastructure Delivery
Oversee the execution of civil works including earthworks, drainage, utilities, roadways, and external hardstands, ensuring compliance with design intent and local regulations.
•   Technical Review & Quality Assurance
Review drawings, specifications, and method statements for technical accuracy; monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and project requirements.
•   Interface & Stakeholder Coordination
Manage interfaces between civil, structural, and MEP packages, supporting clear communication and collaboration across contractors, consultants, and client teams.
•   Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
Promote a culture of safety and sustainability across all civil activities, ensuring adherence to site safety procedures and environmental best practices.

Requirements

Successful candidate must have relevant degree level qualifications or equivalent trades background
Must have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
Must be based within Portugal
