We are looking for an Architectural Technologist to join a growing architectural team delivering Irish public sector work alongside other large-scale projects. This role is ideal for someone with solid Revit skills who wants to build technical experience, take on more responsibility over time, and progress within a supportive team environment.
 

The Role

  • Develop and update Revit models, drawings, and technical packages with guidance from senior team members
  • Support project delivery from design stage through to construction
  • Assist with meeting Department of Education requirements, including TGDs and room data
  • Coordinate architectural information with engineers, consultants, and specialists
  • Help ensure projects comply with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, fire safety, accessibility, and planning conditions
  • Take part in drawing reviews, quality checks, and document issue processes
  • Assist in responding to RFIs, site queries, and technical clarifications
  • Show initiative in developing technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Contribute to sustainability goals, including energy efficiency and low-carbon design

Experience & Skills Required

  • 3–5 years’ experience in an architectural or architectural technology practice
  • Good working knowledge of Revit (essential)
  • Understanding of construction detailing and technical documentation
  • Basic awareness of Irish building regulations and compliance procedures
  • Ability to work well within a team while developing independence
  • Clear communication and coordination skills

Advantageous Experience

  • Exposure to Irish public sector projects (DoE, OPW, local authorities, etc.)
  • Familiarity with BCAR processes and assigned certifier roles
  • Interest in sustainability, NZEB, and decarbonisation
  • Experience on refurbishment or retrofit projects

Qualifications

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology or a related field
  • Willingness to continue professional and technical development
