Junior Quantity Surveyor- Ireland 

To €55,000 DOE + Competitive Package 

We are partnered with an established contractor committed to delivering exceptional quality, active engagement, and outstanding customer care, ensuring the highest standards across every project. Due to continued growth, the company is in need of a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor to assist in cost estimation, contract administration, procurement, and financial reporting. You will also have the advantage to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in quantity surveying, cost analysis and management.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements: 

• Support in preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, equipment, and other expenses. 

• Contribute to developing project budgets and cost plans under senior quantity surveyors' supervision. 

• Team up with project teams to track cost, monitor variances and identify cost- saving opportunities. 

• Assist Senior Quantity Surveyor with the preparations of commercial reports. 

• Assist in conducting quantity takeoffs and measurements from drawings and specifications to determine the quantities materials, labour and equipment required for construction activities. 

• Verify quantities and measurements on site and assist in resolving discrepancies when needed. 

• Oversee the cost and hours of all labour hire subcontractors. 

• Maintain accurate records of cost estimates, budgets and expenditures and update project cost reports regularly. 

• Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on cost management, procurement, and project progress. 

• Degree/qualifications in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. 

• Previous experience in quantity surveying roles for both main or subcontractors. 

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. 

• Proficiency in Quantity Surveying software and other relevant tools. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
