We are partnered with a leading engineering & construction contractor with a reputation in delivering world-class projects across a diverse range of industries dedicated to ensuring quality, safety, and sustainability. Due to continued growth, we are now looking for an experienced Estimation Manager to lead and oversee the tendering and cost estimation process for large-scale projects. As Estimation Manager, you will bring your extensive expertise in cost management, tendering, and commercial strategy, ensuring accurate and competitive project estimations in line with industry’s highest quality and best practices. 

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:      

  • Lead and manage the estimation and tendering process for large-scale projects, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness. 

  • Oversee cost planning, budget analysis, and risk assessment throughout the tendering phase. 

  • Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to develop precise and well-structured bids. 

  • Review project specifications, drawings, and requirements to formulate detailed cost estimates. 

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in cost management. 

  • Provide strategic advice on project pricing, contract negotiation, and procurement strategies. 

  • Stay up to date with market trends, material costs, and labour rates to ensure competitive bidding. 

  • Lead the estimation process for heritage building renovations, luxury hotel fit-outs, and high-profile construction projects. 

  • Mentor and develop junior estimators, fostering a culture of excellence within the team. 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, additional qualification or certification in Cost Management such as RICS or CIOB is desirable. 

  • 15+ years of experience in tendering and cost estimation for large-scale projects in the London area with focus in estimating for high-end hotel fit-outs, luxury renovations, and heritage building restoration projects. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, cost control principles, and industry pricing. 

  • Strong knowledge in estimation software and tools for cost analysis and bid preparation. 

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills. 

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
