Various London – Principal contractor
My client come from an RC sub-contractor background but have now moved into principal contracting, from groundworks to quality fit-out this firm offer a comprehensive in-house building service. With over 30 years’ experience in building prominent substructures for many of the country’s largest main contractors across many sectors including residential, retail, mixed-use, education, healthcare, leisure, logistics and commercial we are now in the position to provide a complete turnkey service within these sectors.
They are now looking to add to their teams and are looking for experienced Project Managers to look after various residential schemes in London.
- Project Manager able to take a project from start to completion and handover.
- Ideally with Civil Engineering qualifications and 8-10 + years practical site experience working for a contractor or substantial subcontractor. Ideally with principal contractor exposure. Able to plan and anticipate; co-ordinating all aspects required before starting on site. Knowledge of RC and temporary works advantageous, however you will need to be able to see the project through to completion, so a good technical knowledge of fit out and finishes is advantageous.
- The Project Manager’s role needs someone who is self-motivated, to work unsupervised on programming, planning, technical assessments, method statements and risk assessments. This is a site-based role where you will be expected to be conversant with all the relevant paperwork. This Principal contractor has further schemes including conversion and refurbishment work. Immediate start available on this scheme.
- Preference will be given to a Project Manager who is a Civil Engineer and can demonstrate at least 8-10 years working in a similar role for a London based contractor. Experience as a No 2 on a larger project would also be relevant for the right person.
