Project Manager - Surrey - Main Contractor - Housing - Permanent My client operates across a broad range of sectors, including Housing, Large Regeneration Schemes, Education, Health and Mixed Use. They both construct and develop education, healthcare and housing projects working in partnership with key stakeholders including Local Authorities, Housing Associations and Commercial sector partners. They are one of the top 20 main contractors in the UK. As part of their continued success and expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for four site based Project Managers to join their highly professional and experienced team. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for successfully leading a new build residential project including input into the budget process and long term programming. They currently have vacancies across four newly awarded contracts which include a £55m scheme in Camden, a £45m scheme in Sutton, a £50m scheme in Hackney as well as an exciting opportunity at their Flagship regeneration scheme in Islington. Each scheme is highly regarded and all consist of mixed use residential accommodations. These challenging roles will involve providing leadership to the site teams to ensure timely, cost effective and safe construction. You will lead meetings with subcontractors, be a point of escalation for delays or challenges on site and continually monitor and strive to create a safe working environment for all site based teams. You will manage other Site Managers on site and take responsibility for their development. You will also work to achieve the expected net profit for each of your contract, working with onsite surveyors to ensure the agreed cash flow is attained. The ideal candidate will be an experienced construction Project Manager; preferably with residential construction experience. Alternatively, you might be a Senior Site Manager ready to continue your development with a company that has a reputation for developing its staff. The preferred candidate will have worked for a Main Contractor (Principle Contractor), although candidates with experience with a developer will also be considered.
