Leading multinational consultancy require an engineer to provide consultancy on energy and sustainability projects whilst assuming the role of project manager as required, co-ordinating and assisting experienced engineers in the design process. The desired candidate woudl be required to demonstrate BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) capabilities with proven experience of such projects and should be qualified to certify BREEAM and CfSH projects. A track record of using IES Dynamic Thermal Modelling Software would be desirable but not essential. Additional experience of Planning strategy and documentation – energy strategies and sustainability statements, Environmental assessments. Building modelling (energy performance, daylight studies, etc.), Low and zero carbon strategies.
You would also be required to assist in production Reports and Planning Applications including assessments on energy supply and demand whilst maintaining professional knowledge of energy and sustainability legislation.
The desired candidate must posses a An Energy/Sustainability/Building Services/Engineering related degree with at least 4-6 years’ experience working within an energy design environment within a recognised engineering practise and has a detailed knowledge of the design procurement and installation process for major projects. Good working knowledge of BREEAM and CfSH with some experience in the support of planning and building control applications in London.
