Senior Planner – Essex
My client has been established for just over 15 years, a privately owned main contractor my client currently has an annual turnover of £83M.
My client undertakes all sub contract and trade packages and therefore performs all the work carried out of site. With an award winning training and apprenticeship programme, my client believes in developing and training their own staff and actively encourages promotion from within.
My client undertake projects in new build, fit out a refurbishment and the value range from £1 – 8M and covers social housing, education, community, leisure and commercial sectors.
As the London market continues to gain momentum in this buoyant market, my client is now looking to expand their Planning team and is therefore looking for a Senior Planner to join their office in Romford.
Senior Planners will report directly into the Operations Director and be responsible for two junior planners
Within the Senior Planning role, you will be responsible for the timely production and update of documents relating to the time scale of a construction project
These various schedules of work are used by the rest of the construction team to plan ahead and assist in the successful completion of the project on time and within budget. •Primarily using a Gantt chart, you will be accountable for all stages of the preconstruction and construction phase of a project, ensuring it is graphically produced to indicate workloads against the full time scale.
Senior Planners will be required to produce additional documentation to assist in the tendering, procurement, construction, reporting and analysis of project.
Senior Planners will execute documentation which includes but is not limited to procurement programmes, construction logistic plans and information release schedules, cost S-curves and client progress reports with short term and finishing programmes.
During the on-site construction phase of a project, the Senior Planner will be required to record the progress of the works and provide a marked up Gantt chart and progress report which indicate the results.
Senior Planners will attend Pre-construction meetings and progress meeting with subcontractors on site.
Senior Planners must have a minimum of ten years of experience working in a Planning role with a UK Main Contractor
My client is seeking a Senior Planner who has a stable CV and is able to demonstrate longevity of employment with previous companies
Senior Planner must have working knowledge of ASTA Power Projects and be able to show competency working on a variety of projects and construction techniques with values ranging from £1 – 8M
