My client is a well established contractor, with a turnover of £40m+. We have an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our on-site delivery and be part of our most stimulating and high value projects to date. This is a chance to work for a well-established Main Contractor on their biggest Residential / Mixed Use Schemes. Having secured two projects circa £8million and £12million. Both are existing office buildings that are to be converted to approx. 90 and 150 high spec units respectively.
If you are an experienced Project Director / Project Manager / No1 on Site who has a demonstrable successful track record in delivering major Housing and Residential projects. We want to hear from you. We are looking for the No.1 to head up the project. Frimley is due to go to site in approx. 5 weeks and we are keen get the project lead on board as soon as possible so that they can work through the pre-construction phase ahead of the commencement of works. Woking is due to commence in approximately 7 weeks both delivered under a JCT D&B contract.
Project Director / No1 experience required:
- Minimum 7 years No.1 Project Director / No1 experience.
- Minimum 10 years Residential project experience - £10m+.
- Degree educated or similar.
- Commercially / Contractually aware.
- Excellent client facing skills.
- Strong IT / Reporting skills.
The role will effectively be a No.1 on site, with Section Managers below, and effectively a Project Director that is responsible for client stakeholder management and building a high performing construction team to ensure management of all site teams, trades, are running to the highest standards and on program and budget.
The candidate will have a career background working for a main Contractor and the ability to demonstrate project management experience on large construction projects in the value between £10m-25m. There must be a track record and full exposure to delivering residential, commercial or mixed-use refurbishment and new build construction projects. Experience must capture high to mid specification projects. The candidate will be hands on, pragmatic and an extremely proactive PM who will be driving the scheme.
The Candidate will be responsible for short term programming, liaising with consultants and architects, health and safety and ultimately day to day management of the project.It is essential candidates have extensive industry experience, directly relating to larger scale residential projects upwards of £10m, and must be commercially focused.They must be easily be able to manage and motivate their team. They must show the technical and contractual knowledge to identify risks and opportunities with client and subcontractors and have the ability to programme the works and identify key interfaces, risks and opportunities in the construction process.
